On March 14th, 2018, the University of Utah Confucius Institute, College of Humanities, and College of Architecture and Planning coordinated to host author Robert G. Knapp as he delivered lectures to University students and staff.
On February 16th and 17th, the Confucius Institute at the University of Utah (CIUU) shared Chinese culture with the community by attending Chinese New Year with activities at the Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum and the Salt Lake County Library.

“Building a Student Centered Classroom” -- The University of Utah Confucius Institute Hosts Teacher Training
On December 2, the Confucius Institute at the University of Utah (CIUU) hosted a teacher training workshop. The theme of this workshop was “Building a student centered classroom to increase learning motivation and language proficiency.”
On November 13, the Confucius Institute at the University of Utah hosted Qile Tian, the men’s basketball coach at Tsinghua University in Beijing, as he gave a lecture titled “Sports in China.”
On the evening of October 1st, students and community members gathered in Kingsbury Hall to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Confucius Institute at the University of Utah (CIUU) and the conclusion of Chinese Culture Week.
